November 17th, day of struggle for freedom and democracy. State holiday in the Czech Republic. For some people this day has a deeper meaning, for others it's just empty words and for some just a welcome day off. Either way, it doesn't change the fact that a few years ago you would have been shot in the back by border guards at this place, our hotel bridge between Austria and the Czech Republic. For a vacation ticket and a watch.

Today's wreath-laying ceremony at the Stone of the Republic in front of the Forest Hotel Peršlák. As every year, the reverential course of the ceremony was perfectly organized by the Military History Club, the 29th Neuhaus Infantry Regiment, also known as the "Josef Jiří Švec Regiment". Many many thanks.

On Monday, October 31, 2022, the power supply to the towns (Burgstall), Ovčárna (Schäferei) and Nový Vojířov (Böhm. Bernschlag) will be maintained and switched off. For this reason our hotel and restaurant will be closed on this day.
