Dear guests,
Did you know which international day will be celebrated on Monday, 25 August 2025? You can find a clue in our weekly menu. If you guessed ‘banana split,’ you're right. This ice cream dessert was supposedly first served in 1903 by pharmacy apprentice David Evans Strickler in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. The recipes vary slightly, but the basic ingredients are always the same: a banana sliced lengthwise with ice cream and whipped cream. Come visit us, try our version of this popular ice cream dessert, and celebrate International Banana Split Day with us.

You have probably already heard that the first international woodcarving symposium will be taking place at our hotel on the weekend of 31 October to 2 November 2025. the summer holidays are coming to an end and the new school year is just around the corner. Some people can hardly wait (e.g. parents or first graders), others are looking forward to it with concern, and still others are not concerned with this topic at all. However, we are continuing at the same pace and with the same commitment, seven days a week, offering you our regular menu as well as our daily menu from Monday to Friday. Although the hotel rooms are almost fully booked on weekends in September, we still have capacity available on weekdays for all our guests.

Weekly menu 11.08.25 - 15.08.25

Dear guests,
Cycling is becoming increasingly popular, and we would like to support this leisure activity even more. That is why we have decided to expand and improve our bicycle parking facilities. Over the past two weeks, preparations have been made for new bicycle parking spaces next to the hotel, near the horse tethering facility. Yesterday, it was put into operation and tried out by the first cyclists. We are also thinking about e-bikes, which are becoming increasingly common on cycle paths and roads, and soon there will also be a charging station so that this mode of transport can recharge its batteries here, just like its users. Come by, try out our new feature and let us know what you think. We welcome all feedback. For those who are curious whether we received any government or European funding for this project, the answer is no: this project is financed exclusively by the Waldhotel Peršlák. Charging e-bikes is free of charge for our hotel and restaurant guests. Although blueberries are becoming less common in the area around our hotel, cranberries are now available. The beauty of the forest is further enhanced by the blooming heather.

Half of the holidays are already over, but we are looking forward to a wonderful August together with you. We still have our summer specialities with blueberries from our forests on the menu. Today, Friday 27.06.25, the children will receive their school reports and the summer holidays are here. Not only for them, but also for all adults, we are preparing a discovery trail to interesting places in the area around our hotel, such as the Stone of the Republic and the Bridge to the Valley of Love. You can find the excursion points on the information map available at the hotel reception. At each point there is a stamp with which you can stamp the information card and of course you can also use the stamp for your hiking diary. If you visit all the places, you can take part in our competition for a weekend stay for two people with breakfast at the Peršlák Forest Hotel, worth CZK 10,000.
