The biggest Christian festival, Easter, is just around the corner, and for many this marks the first long weekend of the year. Some of you will no doubt be keeping to tradition: on Maundy Thursday you’ll eat something green for lunch, and on Good Friday you’ll avoid meat and eat only fish. For Monday, you’ll be preparing a small gift for the children, ideally coloured eggs and sweets.
As a special exception, we are sending you our weekly offer as early as Thursday to wish you a pleasant break, whether you celebrate it according to old traditions or see it more as a mini-break.

Dear guests,
today, 20 March 2026, at 3.46 pm, astronomical spring begins. Can we expect spring-like, glorious sunny weather, or will winter make a comeback? We’ll have to wait and see. However, we can safely assume that on Wednesday there will once again be a schnitzel on our menu, filled next week with mozzarella, ham and asparagus for a change.
Saturday, 21 March 2026, is International Day of Forests, but also World Poetry Day. And the very next day, Sunday, 22 March 2026, is International Day of Water. How can we celebrate these significant days at the same time? For example, with a walk in the woods in our beautiful border region, a hike around our hotel pond – the Neumühler Teich – or along the Rottaler or Koštěnický streams. If you haven’t recited any poems along the way, you can round off your celebrations with a visit to our restaurant, with a book of poetry and something sweet.

with our new ‘Schnitzel Wednesday’, we’ve added another regular dish to our weekly menu. Whilst we don’t serve soup every Friday, we do serve a sweet dessert instead. Have you noticed that yet? Our chefs have quietly and spontaneously introduced ‘Sweet Friday’, as a sweet end to the working week, so to speak. And next week, our chef, Mr Vopěnka, has come up with a double dose of sweetness for you, as you can look forward to our bohemian apple strudel with apples, raisins and quark as early as Thursday. believe it or not, even mistakes have their own international day. This Sunday, 1 March 2026, is International Mistakes in the Calendar Day. Who has never made a mistake and wanted to plan something for 30 February? It is precisely because of this non-existent day that 1 March was chosen to remind us that humans are not infallible and that mistakes sometimes happen.
However, what is neither a mistake nor an error is our new ‘Schnitzel Wednesday’ promotion, which has been a great success. The classic pork schnitzel is followed by the popular turkey cordon bleu, a schnitzel filled with cheese and ham. Come and enjoy it with us.

the first half of this year's winter is almost over and the weather has been like a roller coaster. We've already had snowfall, which delighted skiers but brought tears to the eyes of the winter road maintenance crews. Then we experienced a severe frost that made you not want to leave the house.
