Dear guests,
if you’re wondering what to do in the surrounding area or which interesting places you could visit, why not check out the website : www.vianorelia.eu
? You might be surprised by how many events you’ll find there. For examplelike a fact, that the name “Czech Canada” was first used to describe our region as early as 1925 by Jaroslav Arnošt Trpák, a journalist from Jindřichův Hradec, upon his return from a trip through America. In 1928, this name appeared in his articles and promotional materials, in which he described our region as “the most romantic corner of the Czech lands,” full of forests and ponds.
Unfortunately, our capacity in the outdoor dining area and restaurant is limited, so we kindly ask you to reserve a table by telephone on +420 384 386 505.

Are you no longer studying and would like to earn some extra money working in the catering industry? Get in touch with us, we would love to meet you.

Dear guests,
With the arrival of September, autumn has come upon us, and nature is slowly beginning to prepare for winter. The leaves on some trees are already turning brown, but there is still no shortage of colour. In the meadows and along the paths, you can spot the yellow flowers of toadflax, goldenrod and tansy, whilst in the woods you’ll find the pink to purple flowers of heather species; and if you look closely, you might even find some red cranberries. You’ll find most of this, and much more besides, on the way to the Waldhotel Peršlák – so don’t hesitate to come and visit us. We look forward to seeing you.
There’s always something going on in our Austrian-Czech border region – from Heidenreichsten and Litschau via Neubistritz to Jindřichův Hradec. You can find inspiration for various leisure activities on the website at : www.vianorelia.eu

Dear guests,
next week brings not only a nostalgic farewell to summer, but also the fresh energy of September that comes with the children’s return to school. As the days slowly grow shorter, this is the ideal time for adults to settle into a new routine, meet up with friends at a leisurely pace after the holidays and enjoy the last of the warm sunshine – for example, on our hotel terrace with a nice drink.

Dear guests,
today marks the 235th anniversary of the opening of Europe’s first industrial exhibition, known as the ‘Waarenkabinet’. This event took place from 21 August to 14 September 1791 at the Clementinum in Prague to mark the coronation of Leopold II of Habsburg as King of Bohemia. The organisers’ aim was to document the state of development of domestic manufacturing; on display were products from 49 industrial sectors, including textiles, lace, jewellery and cut mirrors.

Our seasonal menu will be changing soon: the blueberry season is drawing to a close, and we’ll be transitioning seamlessly to our autumn menu. We’ve already added plum dumplings to our menu. To get you in the mood for these traditional and popular fruits from our gardens, we’ve included a homemade plum crumble cake on our weekly menu for Friday. Do pop in and enjoy our plum specialities.

Dear guests,
yesterday, Thursday 6 August 2026, we enjoyed a wonderful respite from the heat in the form of thunderstorms, rain and cooler temperatures. However, this refreshing weather will soon give way to the tropical heat once again. On the website www.vianorelia.eu, you’ll always find an event that interests you so much that you won’t care about the current weather at all. And if there aren’t any suitable events coming up, you can make the wait more enjoyable with a visit to the Waldhotel Peršlák. It’s always cosy both on the terrace and in the restaurant, and there’s something to suit everyone’s taste here.

Dear guests,
this Sunday is Saint Anne’s Day, which is linked to a traditional weather saying: ‘Once Saint Anne’s Day is over, the mornings turn cool.’ Who knows what impact the cooler morning temperatures will have on the harvest? As our summer specialities depend entirely on fresh blueberries, it is difficult to predict how much longer we will be able to keep them on our menu. So don’t hesitate to visit us – whether on foot, by bike, by car, on horseback or by horse-drawn carriage – to enjoy our dishes featuring these forest fruits. Of course, we’re already putting the blueberries in the freezer so that we can make your favourite jam, which you can purchase at our reception for 169,-- CZK.

Dear guests,
summer is in full swing and nature is ablaze with colour. In the meadows, alongside the usual green, you can see various shades of brown in the grasses, as well as the yellow and white blossoms of wildflowers. In the woods, you’ll also come across dark blue blueberries, which feature on our seasonal summer menu. Whether you come on foot, by car, by bike, on horseback or by horse-drawn carriage, do come to our restaurant to enjoy delicious desserts made with these forest fruits. We look forward to welcoming you.

Dear guests,
a long weekend awaits us in the Czech Republic: the Czech public holidays ‘Day of the Slavic Apostles Cyril and Methodius’ on 5 July 2026 and ‘Day of the Burning of Jan Hus’ on 6 July 2026 fall on a Sunday and a Monday this year. If you’d like to spend one of these days shopping, we have some good news: shops in the Czech Republic will be open as usual. If you’d like to make the most of cultural activities in your free time, we recommend taking a look at the website www.vianorelia.eu, where you’ll find an overview of various events in our beautiful Austrian-Czech border region. If, on the other hand, you’d prefer to relax a little, you can visit the restaurant at the Waldhotel Peršlák, where you can enjoy our summer specialities – pancakes with quark and blueberries, blueberry dumplings or an ice cream sundae with blueberries, egg liqueur and whipped cream. We look forward to your visit.

Dear guests,
Summer is in full swing and temperatures are truly soaring. Many of us are seeking relief from the heat in swimming pools, ponds and the like. If you haven’t made any plans yet, do take a look at our cross-border events calendar, which you can find at www.vianorelia.eu. There you’ll find everything that’s going on in our Austrian-Czech border region. Guests at our restaurant can find shade under parasols, which also protect them from a sudden rain shower. A misting system installed on the terrace also helps to cool the air. And if that isn’t enough, our visitors can make use of our new, very eco-friendly and personalised air-conditioning system – namely fans, which we lend out free of charge to anyone who’s interested. Do come and visit us, not just to refresh yourself with cold drinks, but also to try out how ladies in days gone by used fans to keep cool.
